Executive Director Halil Demir at Zakat Foundation of America’s Social Services Center in Harvey, Illinois. The Center, envisioned by Halil Demir as a free goodwill store, provides essential items such as clothing, hygiene kits, blankets, and other necessities to refugees and underprivileged families. Since its inauguration in December 2023, it has supported more than 500 Families and 3,000 beneficiaries, fostering dignity, compassion, and a sense of community among people from diverse backgrounds.
